As part of the Route 66 Centennial and Red, White & Bridge Bash weekend, this special ceremony honors the historic footbridge’s role in Springfield’s transportation story and its continued place in the heritage of the Mother Road.
Following years of preservation work, the rededication marks the reopening of a beloved landmark and recognizes the civic vision, partnerships... and community support that helped bring the footbridge back to life.
