About Us
Rest Haven Court has been welcoming Route 66 travelers since 1947, making it one of Springfield's longest-operating motor courts. Originally built by Hillary and Mary Brightwell, the property began with four stone cottages before expanding over the years to include additional rooms, a service station, and modern amenities for travelers exploring the Mother Road.
In 1953, the motel added its iconic neon arrow sign, which remains one of the most recognizable Route 66 landmarks in Springfield today. Located along the historic 1936 Route 66 Bypass alignment, Rest Haven Court continues to offer visitors a chance to experience a classic roadside motel while connecting with a piece of Route 66 history that has served generations of travelers.
