The Illinois Route 66 Mother Road Festival returns for its 24th year in downtown Springfield, September 26-28, 2025! Celebrate all things Americana — classic cars, nostalgic tunes, spirited community vibe, and Route 66 heritage at its best.
Join us for a weekend full of car shows, live music, a 5K run, fun family activities, vendors, and plenty of throwback moments. Locally run by Greg "Coop" & Sue Cooper with operations led by Shane “Shaner” McDermith, the festival keeps the heart of the Mother Road alive with tradition, friendly competition, and small-town charm.
