When Route 66 was packed with motorists, a local 24 hour car dealership decided to construct the tallest, freestanding neon sign on the entire Route 66 to advertise his business. Using local laborers, welders, and oilfield winch trucks, the team built an oil derrick style ten story neon sign, which can be seen from 6 miles out of town. Sadly the sign went dark in the 1950's but the Bristow Historical Society has restored it and relit it! Visit Bristow, Oklahoma for the full story at the Chrysler Tower Plaza. See you soon~
