About Us
The Route 66 Mercantile located on Route 66 in Vinita, OK has gifts for all occasions, Rt 66 souvenirs, and items by local artisans. This store is owned and operated by Home of Hope, a non-profit dedicated to serving adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and 100% of the proceeds go toward helping these individuals. The store employs two Home of Hope clients. This store partners with local vendors who supply the Mercantile with unique items made right here in Oklahoma. Shoppers will find something for every occasion and a gift to please anyone on their list.
Don't forget to check out the mural on the outside of the building. The mural was painted by Brenda Yirsa from Nowata, OK. It shows the crossroads of Jefferson Highway and Route 66 which is significant because the building once was the bus station that brought passengers to and from Vinita before the interstate was built.
